Saturday’s Basketball Games

Mitchell

The Kernel wrestling teams after postponement yesterday will be in action Saturday morning. The boys and the girls will be in a Varsity Tournament against Chamberlain at the Chamberlain Armory. Both teams will begin at 10am.

The Kernel gymnastics team will be competing on Saturday. They’ll be on the road at Sioux Falls Lincoln high school taking on the Patriots. The Varsity Invitational will begin at 11am.

The Marlins hockey teams are both set to be on the ice this Sunday. The girls will be playing in the Mitchell Activities Center in the Toshiba Rink. The Marlins will host Rushmore at 10am. The boys play later in the day when they host Aberdeen also at the Mitchell Activities Center in the Toshiba Rink. It will begin at 4pm.

DWU

The Tiger men’s wrestling team is competing again Saturday morning for their second day in the Missouri Valley Invitational. They are in Marshall, MO at the Bruns Athletic Center. It will begin again at 10am and viewable on flowrestling.org, but it will cost to view.

The Tiger track & field teams are both in competition this Saturday. The men’s and women’s team will compete in the Dennis Young Alumni Classic. They’ll be in Storm Lake, IA and both will start at 11am.

The No. 9 Tiger women’s basketball team are the lone hoops team playing over the weekend as they get set to take on the College of Saint Mary on Saturday afternoon. The game will be played in the Lied Fitness Center in Omaha, NE. Tipoff is set for 3pm.

SDSU

The Jackrabbit women’s basketball team gets back to it on Saturday looking to get their sixth win in their last seven games. They’ll travel to Kansas City, MO to take on Kansas City. Tipoff will be at 2pm and air on the Summit League Network.

NBA

The Minnesota Timberwolves remain at home for their next game on Saturday afternoon. They will be hosting the Golden State Warriors in the Target Center in Minneapolis, MN. The game will air on ABC and tipoff is at 4:30pm.

NFL

Playoffs in the NFL continue on Sunday afternoon with the AFC & NFC Championship games. Beginning with the AFC title game between the No. 1 seed Denver Broncos and the No. 2 seed New England Patriots in Denver, CO at Mile High Stadium. Kickoff will be at 2pm on CBA/Paramount+. Followed by the NFC title game as the No. 5 seed Los Angeles Rams visit the No. 1 seed Seattle Seahawks at Lumen Field in Seattle, WA. Kickoff will be at 5:30pm on FOX. The winning teams will face off in Super Bowl LX (60) in Santa Clara, CA on Feb. 8 on NBC/Peacock.
