MITCHELL, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) Mitchell Area Housing Incorporated (MAHI) has postponed ribbon cuttings and open houses for its Southlake Estates development near Lake Mitchell after rain and wind delays pushed back street construction by three weeks. Streets are now expected to be finished by Sept. 10, which leaders say will help potential buyers and developers better visualize the lots. Southlake Estates will feature 37 lots, with some already sold or pending sale, while additional governor’s houses are scheduled for delivery in October. The Organization is also building at its Ridgeview on Foster development, where homes are priced between $240,000 and $268,000. A rescheduled open house for Southlake Estates is set for Sept. 25.
