Tiger Baseball splits games with Morningside, MLB season begins tonight on Netflix & Timberwolves vs Rockets tonight

DWU Baseball

The Tiger baseball team competed in a doubleheader yesterday afternoon on the road. They took on the Morningside Mustangs and split the games 1-1, beginning with an 8-6 win and then a 7-2 loss. Alex Mizsak pitched a complete game in the Tigers win to start the day and slowed down the Mustang offense after the first two innings of play. Lane Darrow and Caleb Meyers both scored a pair of runs, and Meyers was the only Tiger with a pair of hits. The second game was mostly all Morningside as they managed 11 hits in the game to help themselves get the win. DWU baseball is now 12-12 overall.

MLB

The Major League Baseball season begins tonight. It is just the one game tonight as the New York Yankees visit the San Francisco Giants at Oracle Park to kick off the season. The first pitch will be at 7:05pm on Netflix. For the Minnesota Twins, they get their season started tomorrow afternoon. The’ll be in Baltimore taking on the Orioles with first pitch at 2:05pm on MLB TV.

NBA

The Minnesota Timberwolves get back to the court tonight. They’ll be at home hosting the Houston Rockets in the Target Center in Minneapolis, MN.  Tipoff will be at 7pm on ESPN.
