Mitchell Golf

The Kernel boys golf team competed in the Marchand Cup yesterday afternoon in Mitchell at Lakeview Golf Course. It was Yankton who took the win in the Marchand Cup yesterday with 14.5 team points to just 9.5 points for Mitchell.

DWU Golf

The Tiger men’s golf team will be competing today. They will play in the Blue River Classic at the Highlands Golf Course over the next two days. They will compete at 8:30am today and tomorrow in Lincoln, NE.

DWU Volleyball

The (RV) Tiger volleyball team faced the (RV) Dakota State Trojans last night on the road. The Tigers beat the Trojans in five sets, 3-2. Additionally, Kayleigh Hybertson was named the Setter-of-the-Week in the Great Plains Athletic Conference after totaling 158 assists over the weekend. Notching double-doubles from assist and digs in a pair of games. DWU went 2-2 this past weekend and took down No. 8 IU Kokomo & (RV) Benedictine.

DWU Soccer

The Tiger soccer teams both saw action last night. The women ended their game in a 0-0 scoreless tie with Buena Vista. The men had a dominant performance and won it, 5-0.

MLB

The Minnesota Twins and Chicago White Sox faced off again last night. Another win for the White Sox, but by a wider margin this time. Chicago managed a 12-3 victory over the Twins. They will matchup again tonight at 6:40pm.

WNBA

The Minnesota Lynx will get back to game action tomorrow. They will be on the road taking on the second-best team in the WNBA, the Las Vegas Aces. That game will be aired on Prime Video and begin at 9pm.

NFL

The NFL season begins tomorrow night with an NFC East rivalry game. It will be the Dallas Cowboys at the Philadelphia Eagles. The game will air on NBC & Peacock and begin at 7:20pm. The Minnesota Vikings don’t make their debut until Monday when they travel to face the Chicago Bears at 7:15pm on ABC/ESPN.
