Sports Roundup: Wednesday 12/10/25

Mitchell Hockey

The Marlins varsity boys hockey team will have tournament action over the next five days. They’ll be in Minnetonka, MN playing at least one game a day, if not more, at the Minnetonka Ice Arena. No specific game matchups or start times are listed on the Mitchell Marlins website, and the game updates will be provided if they become available.

Mitchell Gymnastics

The Kernel gymnastics team will return to the mats tomorrow night when they host O’Gorman. They’ll face the Knights in Mitchell in a Varsity Dual at the Mitchell high school at 6pm in the main gym. 

DWU Basketball

The Tiger basketball teams get back to it with more Great Plains Athletic Conference games tonight. They will be in Sioux City, IA at DeWitt Gymnasium taking on the Dordt Defenders. The No. 14 women’s basketball team (6-3) will face No. 1 Defender WBB (8-1) with DWU coming off of a Top 10 win earlier this week. They will tip off at 6pm. For the men (5-6), they will play the back end of the doubleheader against Defender MBB (5-6) as DWU tries to end its three-game skid. This game will begin at 7:45pm. 

SDSU Basketball

The Jackrabbit men’s basketball team took on Ball State last night on the road. SDSU had a stronger second half to help themselves pull ahead of the Cardinals after trailing by one at halftime. The Cardinals tried to rally, but the Jackrabbits sealed a 68-64 win. Kalen Garry led SDSU with 15 points. The (RV) Jackrabbit women (8-2) play tonight on the road in Cedar Rapids, IA. They will face Northern Iowa (4-4) at 6pm on ESPN+. 

NFL

Tomorrow night is Thursday Night Football on Prime Video to start Week 15. It’s the Atlanta Falcons (4-9) at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (7-6) at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Bay, FL. Kickoff will be at 7:15pm. 

NBA

Tonight, the second batch of NBA Cup Quarterfinal games are on tap. It’s the Phoenix Suns (14-10) at the Oklahoma City Thunder (23-1) at 6:30pm and the San Antonio Spurs (16-7) at the Los Angeles Lakers (17-6) at 9pm. Both games will air on Prime Video.
