2025 Class B State Amateur Baseball Tournament Games:

  • Parkston (Rays) vs Dell Rapids (PBR) at 5:30pm
  • Kimball/White Lake vs Milbank at 7:30pm
  • Platte vs Four Corners at 7:30pm (Tuesday)
  • Freeman vs Dell Rapids (Mudcats) at 7:30pm (Wednesday)

Mitchell Tennis

The Mitchell Kernels girls tennis team will start their season tomorrow afternoon. They’ll compete right here in Mitchell at Hitchcock Park. It will be a triangular where they will face St. Thomas More first at Noon and then Aberdeen Roncalli at 2pm.

DWU Soccer

The Tiger soccer teams begin their season this afternoon here in Mitchell, SD. The women will face Gillette CC at 3pm and the men will play Gillette CC at 5pm at the Pepsi-Cola Soccer Complex.

MLB

The Minnesota Twins and Kansas City Royals faced off again yesterday. It was the Twins who emerged victorious again, winning it 5-3. The game went into extras and Luke Keaschall hit a two-run homer in the 11th to help Minnesota to victory. Minnesota will start a new series with the New York Yankees tonight at 6:05pm on the MLB Network.

WNBA

The Minnesota Lynx and New York Liberty faced off yesterday afternoon. The Lynx ended up taking the win, 83-71. Minnesota was led by Kayla McBride who finished with 18 points and DiJonai Carrington added 15 in the win. The Lynx won’t play again until Saturday when they host the Liberty at 1pm on CBS.
