SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) A Sioux Falls woman was indicted Friday on federal charges tied to a firearm that was used in a local shooting involving law enforcement. Prosecutors say Chardea Odom bought a gun from a licensed dealer in June, falsely claiming it was for her when she was actually buying it for someone else. That firearm was later linked to shootings in Sioux Falls, including one that threatened three officers. Odom is charged with making false statements during a firearm purchase and false statements to a licensed dealer. She pleaded not guilty and was released on bond pending trial. If convicted, she faces up to 10 years in federal prison. For more crime stories from MitchellNow.com, click here.
