BROOKINGS, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) June 17, 2024 – In a remarkable initiative to encourage blood donation and support community wellness, the South Dakota Pork Producers have teamed up with LifeServe Blood Center to offer a delectable incentive for donors.

On select dates throughout the summer, registered donors at the Aberdeen, Mitchell, and Yankton LifeServe Donor Centers will be treated to mouthwatering maple bacon brownies courtesy of the SD Pork Producers. These special treats will be available on June 28th, July 1st, and July 5th, offering a sweet and savory reward for those giving the gift of life.

This promotion not only highlights the importance of blood donation but also celebrates the spirit of giving back to our community.

In addition to the donor center promotions, the SD Pork Producers are extending their support to two upcoming blood drives in the region:

July 24th: Freeman Community Center Blood Drive

August 27th: Huron Christian Church Blood Drive

“We are grateful for the partnership with the SD Pork Producers and their commitment to making a difference in the lives of others,” said Rebekah Armstrong, PR/Marketing Coordinator for LifeServe Blood Center. “Their generosity adds an extra layer of encouragement for donors, showing that a small act of giving can have a big impact.”

Community members are encouraged to mark their calendars for these upcoming blood drives and donor center promotions, where they can contribute to saving lives while enjoying a delicious treat.
