Pierre Mail Carrier Avoids Prison After Admitting to Stealing Menards Rebates

PIERRE, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) A Pierre mail carrier who admitted stealing Menards rebates will avoid prison time. According to KELOLand, U.S. District Judge Eric Schulte sentenced Nicholas Travers to one year of unsupervised probation and ordered him to pay restitution. Prosecutors say Travers took mail intended for Menards’ rebate center in Wisconsin, filled out new forms, and submitted stolen receipts to collect the rebates himself.
