Navy Sailors Help Build Homes for Homeless Veterans

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) As part of Navy Week, sailors are lending a hand to build tiny homes for homeless veterans in Sioux Falls through the Veterans Community Project. When rain moved in Wednesday, they shifted to indoor work like installing microwaves, hanging doors, and adding finishing touches. For many, it’s their first time on a community project, but they say it’s about giving back to fellow service members and offering hope to those starting over. The effort comes as the U.S. Navy marks its 250th anniversary this year. For more Government stories from MitchellNow.com, Click Here.
