MITCHELL, S.D.  (MITCHELLNOW) Mitchell Technical College announces that Mark Wilson will be stepping down from his position as President of the institution due to personal reasons. While the news may be unexpected, the college remains committed to its mission of excellence and to ensuring a smooth transition in leadership.

The Mitchell School District has already implemented a plan to maintain stability for the remainder of the academic year. Mrs. Theresa Kriese will serve as interim president for the duration of the remainder of this academic term, providing consistent leadership during this period.

In addition, Dr. Childs will begin planning a formal search for the next permanent president of Mitchell Technical College. The search process will be transparent and inclusive, and the community will be kept informed as it progresses.

The Mitchell School District remains dedicated to the success of its students and the continued operation of the institution. Mitchell Technical College will continue to provide a high level of service, support, and leadership throughout the transition.
