MITCHELL, SD (Mitchell Now) — The Mitchell Technical College Foundation is set to host its 3rd Annual Alumni Gathering and Cornhole Tournament on Friday, April 17, 2026, at the World’s Only Corn Palace.

According to event information provided by the foundation, the evening begins with a social hour at 5 p.m., with bags flying at 6:30 p.m.

Participants can register for either a competitive or recreational two-person bracket. Competitive teams cost $60, while recreational teams cost $40. Organizers say each team must include at least one Mitchell Technical College alumnus.

Pre-registration is required, and no walk-in registrations will be accepted. Registration closes April 10th.

The event will also include food, a silent auction and other game options. Spectators can attend for free. Meal wristbands are $10 if purchased in advance and $20 at the door.

Foundation officials say all proceeds will support the Mitchell Tech Foundation Alumni Legacy Scholarship, which helps provide financial assistance to students pursuing technical careers.

“This event brings our alumni and community together while directly supporting student success,” Heather Kulm, director of foundation relations, said in a statement. “It’s a fun and meaningful way to give back to Mitchell Tech students.”

More information and registration details are available through Mitchell Tech Foundation event materials at mitchelltech.edu/foundation/cornhole.
