Mitchell Softball

The Kernel softball team is back on the field tonight with game action on the road. Mitchell will head over to Tea to face the Tea Area TitansThe first pitch will be at 5pm for varsity and JV will play afterwards at 6:30pm. 

Mitchell Tennis

The Kernel boys tennis team gets started in the Eastern South Dakota Conference meet today. It will be held in Yankton, SD at Yankton high school. Matches begin at 2pm this afternoon. 

MLB

The Minnesota Twins got themselves back in the win column last night on the road. They managed to get past the Cleveland Guardians by a score of 5-4 due to a four-run fifth inning that the Guardians could never recover from. Minnesota has the night off tonight, but return home tomorrow to face the Miami Marlins at 6:40pm on MLBTV.

NBA

The Semifinals in the NBA playoffs will have a pair of Game 4’s tonight after big wins of 144-114 by the New York Knicks over the Philadelphia 76ers to sweep the series 4-0 and the Minnesota Timberwolves 114-109 win over the San Antonio Spurs to tie the series 2-2. Tonight it’ll be: 

  • No. 1 seed Detroit Pistons @ No. 4 seed Cleveland Cavaliers at 7pm on NBC/Peacock (DET leads 2-1) 
  • No. 1 seed Oklahoma City Thunder @ No. 4 seed Los Angeles Lakers at 9:30pm on Prime Video (OKC leads 3-0)
