Mitchell Softball
The Kernel softball team is going to be back on the field tomorrow night. They’re going to be on the road in Yankton taking on the Gazelles. The first pitch for the JV will be at 4pm and the varsity will start at 5:30pm.
Mitchell Golf
The Kernels girls golf team had a Varsity Invitational scheduled for today, but it has been postponed to tomorrow. Tomorrow they will be in Pierre at Pierre Hillsview Golf Course. They will tee off at 10am.
Mitchell Tennis
The Kernel boys tennis team is scheduled to play this afternoon at home. They will be home at Hitchcock Park playing in a Varsity Triangular. It all gets started at Noon today. (UPDATE: EVENT POSTPONED TO MAY 1 AT 11AM)
DWU Golf
The Tiger women’s golf team will now have their turn to play in the Great Plains Athletic Conference Championships. The Women’s Golf Championships will also take place in Dakota Dunes, SD. It is a two-day event, and it will begin at 9am on both days.
MLB
The Minnesota Twins have started to slip again in the midst of what is an up-and-down start to their season. They have now lost nine of their last 10 games after losing last night to Tampa Bay, 4-2. They sit at 12-16 overall following the loss. Tonight, they begin a new series against the Seattle Mariners and that game will start at 6:40pm on MLBTV/FS1.
NBA
The Playoffs are still searching for their first team to advance to the second round. Tonight, will be a trio of games that includes:
- Game 4: No. 1 seed Detroit Pistons @ No. 8 seed Orlando Magic at 7pm on NBC/Peacock (ORL leads 2-1)
- Game 4: No. 1 Oklahoma City Thunder @ No. 8 seed Phoenix Suns at 8:30pm on NBCSN/Peacock (OKC leads 3-0)
- Game 5: No. 6 seed Minnesota Timberwolves @ No. 3 seed Denver Nuggets at 9:30pm on NBC/Peacock (MIN leads 3-1)
