Mitchell sets record temperature for September 2nd

Our hot temperatures over the Labor Day weekend turned out to be record-setting for one day.  Saturday’s high of 104 broke the previous record of 103 set back in 1929.  After our weekend heatwave, temperatures are expected to drop considerably this week, with highs in the 70s and 80s and overnight lows in the 40s and 50s.
