Mitchell School District Reports Slight Enrollment Decline, Elementary Numbers Increase

MITCHELL, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) The Mitchell School District is reporting a slight drop in enrollment.  Superintendent Joe Childs says this year’s enrollment is about 26-hundred students.  Down slightly from about two thousand-640 in 2024.  However, the district saw a two-percent increase in elementary enrollment year-over-year.  The district completed its annual census on Friday.  For more Government stories from MitchellNow.com, Click Here.
