The Mitchell school board meets today at 5 p.m. at Gertie Belle Rogers Elementary. The agenda includes consideration to approve and revise policies related to the legalization of medical marijuana, consideration to approve and revise policies related to students in alternative instruction and consideration to approve the bid for architectural design services for a new high school.
“Right now we’re working on going through a bid process for an architect,” Mitchell Schools Superintendent Joe Graves said. “After that, we will go through a bid process for a construction management firm as well.”
Graves will recommend that the board approve the bid for architectural design services from Schemmer, which is the firm that also designed Mitchell’s Performing Arts Center. Today’s Mitchell school board meeting is open to the public.
