Mitchell City Council, Mitchell School Board Canvass Election Results On Monday

The Mitchell City Council met in special session on Monday morning at City Hall in downtown Mitchell.  The only agenda item was to canvass the results of the election that was held last Tuesday, June 8th.  The official vote totals for the municipal election were as follows:

Mayor (three year term):
Jason Bates 422
Giovanni Lanier 150
Bob Everson 1883

Alderman Ward 1 (three year term):
Clay Loneman 167
Dan Sabers 408

Alderman Ward 3 (three year term):
Marty Barington 361
Pam Bathke 268

The Mitchell School Board met Monday evening in regular session at the MCTEA building in Mitchell.  On the agenda was the canvassing of the school board election results.  The official vote totals for the school board election were as follows:

Voter turnout was 22%.
