Madison police make Friday arrests

MADISON, S.D.  (MITCHELLNOW) Madison police made several arrests on Friday, after two theft-related incidents. Early Friday morning, officers tracked down a stolen vehicle on North Blanche Avenue and arrested four people including Scott Blewett and Mary Jennesse, both from Sioux Falls. They are facing multiple charges including possession of a stolen vehicle, giving a false name, and outstanding warrants. Later in the day, police responded to a call at the Americinn hotel where they arrested Wiley Spencer after he gave a fake name and then tried to run. Spencer faces several charges including obstruction and theft. Spencer also reportedly has warrants from Iowa, including robbery and grand theft, totaling over $170,000.
