Lauritsen named CEO of Mitchell Area Development Corporation and Chamber of Commerce

MITCHELL, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW)  The Mitchell Area Development Corporation and Chamber of Commerce has a new CEO. Mike Lauritsen will replace Geri Beck, who has been CEO since 2021. Beck with remain with the MADC and the Chamber of Commerce in a new role – interim vice president. Lauritsen has served as the MADC’s workforce and housing director since last summer. Prior to his role with the MADC, Lauritsen was CEO of the Lake Francis Case Corporation in Chamberlain. The MADC’s mission is to improve the economic base of the Mitchell area through the creation of new jobs involving the production or distribution of goods and services exported primarily outside the trade area, while the Chamber of Commerce provides leadership to unify community action that enhances the business environment and the quality of life of the Mitchell area.
