MITCHELL, SD (Mitchell Now) — A woman missing in Hanson County over the weekend was found safe and sound early Sunday.
In a Facebook post, the sheriff’s office identified the woman only by her first name, Tami. The family had called in to report her gone at about 8:45 on Saturday night. She had been last seen walking on 425th Avenue, just north of 263rd Street an hour before. Tami has been developing signs of dementia in recent months, so the sheriff’s office asked the public to help find Tami at about 2:00 a.m. Sunday.
The post was updated at about 6:45 a.m. to say she had been located by family. The total time from having been last seen to being found safe was approximately 11 hours.
