Sioux City, Iowa – No. 13 Dakota Wesleyan volleyball collects another sweep on the season, as they defeat Morningside on the road for their 16th win of the season and sixth in conference play.

HOW IT HAPPENED

DWU battled back late in the first set after Morningside jumped ahead 13-9.
The Tigers put together a three-point run to grab the opening set win 25-23.
Dakota Wesleyan began to get into a rhythm during the second set putting together several runs.
Most notably, a six-point run that extended their lead to 22-15, before grabbing a set two win 25-18.
The final set of the match ran like the previous one, the Mustangs kept it close at first, then the Tigers began putting good rallies together for several three and four-point runs to win the third set 25-18.
Through the three-set, DWU hit .200 percent with 46 kills on 145 attempts.
Ady Dwight and Mackenzie Miller led the Tigers with 12 kills each Miller topped the leader board in hitting percentage with .323 percent as Dwight followed with .290 percent.
Setter Madeline Else notched 39 assists out of the team’s 44 total assists.
Hanna Reiff led. DWU in digs once again with 21 of the team’s 69 total digs.
Mariah Gloe recorded five total blocks in the match, one solo block and four block assists.
As a team, the Tigers held the Mustangs to 39 kills and a hitting percentage of .156.
Dakota Wesleyan was blocked on 11 attempts by Morningside.

UP NEXT

DWU volleyball returns home for two matches this week. The Tigers will battle in-state rival Dakota State in a non-conference match-up at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Then on Friday, No. 13, DWU will take on the No. 1 Jimmies of the University of Jamestown in a GPAC showdown.
