MITCHELL—The Dakota Wesleyan Ron and Sheilah Gates Department of Theatre will present “The Three Musketeers” as their spring production.  Performances will be held Fridays and Saturdays, March 20-21 and 27-28 at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays, March 22 and 29 at 2 p.m. in the Black Box Theatre inside the Dakota Discovery Museum.

“The Three Musketeers” by Ken Ludwig is an adaptation based on the timeless swashbuckler by Alexandre Dumas, a tale of heroism, treachery, close escapes, and above all, honor.  The story, set in 1625, begins with D’Artagnan, who sets off for Paris in search of adventure.  Soon after reaching Paris, D’Artagnan encounters the greatest heroes of the day – Athos, Porthos, and Aramis, the famous musketeers – and joins forces with his heroes to defend the honor of the Queen of France.

Tickets are $12 general admission.  Visit https://www.dwu.edu/events/details/192/The-Three-Musketeers to purchase.

Two musical events are upcoming prior to the end of the spring semester.  On Sunday, April 26, the Spring Instrumental Music Concert will be performed at 4 p.m. in Sherman Center.  On Sunday, May 3, the Spring Vocal and Wesleyan Bells Concert will be held at 7 p.m. in Sherman Center.  Both concerts are free.

Finally, the annual DWU Performing Arts Hall of Fame and Awards Banquet will be held on Saturday, May 2.  Tickets will go on sale soon.
