SIOUX FALLS – Dakota Wesleyan University’s in-person A.S. nursing program based in Sioux Falls has a new home.  The program moved from a downtown location to a new location in early January.

The program is now occupying part of a stand-alone building located at 817 W. Russell Street.  The new location provides more space and easier access to parking.

Director of Nursing Dr. Penny Tilton is pleased with the move.  “Since locating to Sioux Falls a few years ago, we have heard from our students that parking in the downtown area is a challenge that they deal with daily.  The new Russell Street facility is on one level and has plenty of on-site parking for our students and guests.  We know that nursing students are busy with work, school and families, so we listen carefully to their concerns and try to address them whenever possible.”

Students enrolled in the program earn an Associate of Science degree in nursing. Offered year-round for 24 months, upon completion, graduates are ready to sit for the RN licensing exam.  High school graduates or those wishing to pursue a nursing career may enroll in the program whether they have healthcare experience or not.

Applications for prospective students are being accepted for Fall 2026.  For more information about the program or to apply, visit https://www.dwu.edu/A-S-in-Nursing-Sioux-Falls-Campus.
