MITCHELL, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) A Detroit man charged with second degree murder in connection with the death of a woman whose body was disposed of in Mitchell last month made his initial court appearance on Tuesday.  60-year old Anthony Harris also faces one count of improper disposal.  The remains of 57-year old Melody Faye Gooch of Detroit were found at the I-90 Travel Center parking lot on March 11th.  Surveillance video led to Harris becoming the suspect in the case.  He was found in Washington state several days later and was extradited last week.  Harris is being held in the Davison County Jail on $250,000 bond.  He will appear in court again later this month.  Neither Harris nor Gooch have any known ties to South Dakota.
