The Davison County Sheriff’s Office has taken numerous calls about suspicious phone calls regarding the following topics:

Grand Jury
Personal Protective Equipment Loans
Someone claiming to be another person’s emergency contact
Someone asking for contact information about the person’s spouse

These people are doing their homework before making the calls, as they know the identities of the people they are contacting. It appears all the calls are originating from the same phone number, 605-640-4337.

If people receive a call from this number they should ignore the call. If they receive any suspicious calls from any phone number, they should contact the either the Davison County Sheriff’s Office or Mitchell Police Department immediately.

Please do not give money to anyone that is calling. If there are any questions, please contact law enforcement.
