Davison County Commissioners Set Dec. 30 Meeting Agenda

MITCHELL, SD (Mitchell Now) — The Davison County Commission will hold its next regular meeting Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2025, in the Commissioner’s Room at the North Offices Building, located at 1420 N. Main St. in Mitchell.

The meeting is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. with the call to order, pledge of allegiance, approval of the agenda and minutes, followed by citizen input and board reports.

At 9:15 a.m., Veterans Service Officer Thomas will present an annual review and the commission will consider signing the county’s veterans contract with the state.

A liquor license hearing for Legacy Pointe, LLC is set for 9:30 a.m. Commissioners will then hear a request at 9:45 a.m. regarding a license agreement for the Mitchell Gun Club.

County Auditor Kathy Wingert will present several items throughout the morning, including a memorandum of understanding with South Dakota State University and 4-H at 9:55 a.m., followed by a supplemental budget hearing at 10 a.m. Employee changes and recognition will be addressed at 10:15 a.m.

At 10:20 a.m., commissioners will consider a land lease involving Podzimek and Stevenson. The remainder of the meeting will include miscellaneous motions, approval of bills and timesheets, contingency transfers, and approval of a phone vote related to a care-of-the-poor bill.
