Davison County Commissioners Review Budget, Contracts and Infrastructure; Medical Transport Costs Flagged

MITCHELL, SD (Mitchell Now) — The Davison County Board of Commissioners approved routine agenda items and meeting minutes at its latest meeting while reviewing budget, contract and infrastructure matters.

Commissioners received a quarterly report from the Mitchell Area Chamber of Commerce and the Mitchell Area Development Corporation, which highlighted ongoing economic development and community partnership efforts.

During budget discussion, county officials flagged concerns about rising costs tied to medical transport and mental-health clearances. Officials indicated that line item may need additional funding later this year, depending on call volume and related expenses.

The board also discussed county operations items tied to contracts and infrastructure work, continuing routine oversight of county services.
