Dakota State University Cyber Lab Under Construction

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) The steel framework for the Dakota State Applied Research Lab is beginning to take shape on the northwest edge of Sioux Falls.  As that happens, Applied Research Corporation leaders – CEO Andrea Thompson and COO Stacy Kooistra – are in Washington.  Dakota State President, Dr. Jose Marie Griffiths, says they’re working on the future for the lab.  Griffiths says the pair of Applied Research Corporation leaders are working on advance contracts so that when the lab is up and running it can begin work immediately.

When it’s complete, the Lab will employ graduates from Dakota State and other state universities in the field of cyber research.

American Legion Baseball is set to return to Mitchell in summer 2026 after the Palace City Baseball Association was accepted into the South Dakota American Legion Baseball program to represent Post 18. The group says 2026 registration will reopen for players and families.
