HURON, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) South Dakota is toasting America’s upcoming 250th birthday with a special brew called Dakota Liberty. State Historian Ben Jones says the beer will be unveiled August 30th at the South Dakota State Fair in Huron, with tastings at the nearby Tap Haus. The brewery behind it hasn’t been named yet, but the beer will be available during the fair and afterward. Part of the proceeds will benefit the state’s America 250th Commission, which is organizing celebrations and historic projects for the milestone.
