Congressman Dusty Johnson to Run for South Dakota Governor

PIERRE, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) Congressman Dusty Johnson has announced he will run for South Dakota governor next year instead of seeking another term in Washington. Johnson says he feels called to the race, adding that state government needs stronger direction. He also pledged to give voters clear reasons to support his campaign. He joins a growing Republican primary field that already includes Toby Doeden and Jon Hanson. Current Governor Larry Rhoden is also expected to enter the race.
