Bon Homme County Man Sentenced for Soliciting A Minor

BON HOMME, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) Matthew Neitzel, a 27-year-old from Tyndall, was sentenced to three years in prison after pleading guilty to soliciting a minor, a Class 4 felony. The charge came from inappropriate online communication with a juvenile under 15, which included sexual acts, in January 2024. Neitzel got a five-year sentence, with two years suspended, and he was given credit for four days already served. He was also fined $1,000 and will have to register as a sex offender.
