MITCHELL, SD (Mitchell Now) – According to the National Weather Service, Mitchell will experience a mix of freezing fog, wind-driven showers, intermittent snow and sharply dropping temperatures through Friday.

Monday night: Mostly cloudy. Low near 26 °F (–3°C).

Tuesday, Dec. 9: Cloudy skies becoming windy by afternoon with a chance of a passing shower or two — gusty winds may blow around unsecured objects. High near 48°F (9°C), low near 22°F (–6°C).

Tuesday night: Mostly cloudy and windy. Low near 22°F (–6°C).

Wednesday, Dec. 10: Breezy in the morning; clouds stick around with much colder air moving in. High near 25°F (–4°C), low near 16°F (–9°C).

Wednesday night: Cloudy with a chance of light snow. Low near 16°F (–9°C).

Thursday, Dec. 11: Intermittent snow showers or flurries possible, especially in the afternoon as breezy conditions return. High near 26°F (–3°C), low around 6°F (–14°C).
