Mitchell Basketball

The Kernel basketball teams will have their SoDak16 games this weekend. For the girls, will remain at home in the Mitchell high school to host Spearfish at 6pm. If they win, they’ll travel to Rapid City, SD next weekend to play in the Class AA State Tournament from March 12-14. For the boys, they will hit the road. They’ll travel to Watertown to face the Arrows at 6pm. If they win, they’ll travel to Rapid City, SD to play in the Class AA State Tournament from March 19-21.

DWU Golf

The Tiger women’s golf team is set to compete tomorrow afternoon. They’ll be in Henderson, NV playing at Reflection Bay Golf Club in the Rocky Mountain College Intercollegiate. Time is currently listed as TBA on the DWU website.

DWU Basketball

The No. 9 Tiger women’s basketball team will round out the Great Plains Athletic Conference Postseason Tournament tomorrow afternoon with the Championship game. The No. 2 seed Tigers will face the No. 1 seed Dordt in Sioux Center, IA at DeWitt Gymnasium at 7pm. 

NBA

The Minnesota Timberwolves saw action last night on the road against one of the other top teams in the Western Conference, the Denver Nuggets. They were able to get the win on the road and had six different players in double figures in their 117-108 win. Anthony Edwards led the scoring with 21 points and Minnesota improved to 38-23 overall.
