Severe storms dump baseball-sized hail in Pierre

Severe storms rolled through parts of South Dakota last night and into this morning. Baseball to softball sized hail fell in Pierre. Nickel to ping pong ball sized hail fell in parts of our listening area. Here in Mitchell, we heard some thunder and saw quite a lightning show. But we were spared the hail and heavy rain that fell in other areas.
