A virtual Mitchell City Council candidate forum was held last night. There is one race in the upcoming city council election, and that is in Ward 1 where Tim Goldammer is running against incumbent Steve Rice.

The candidates were asked about several topics, including how they rated the city’s response to the coronavirus, essential capital projects, which city programs to keep in anticipation of a drop in city revenue, recycling, and possible shared services with Davison County.

The election is scheduled for Tuesday, June 2nd. The forum can be viewed on the Mitchell Chamber and Development Facebook page.
