South Dakota has five confirmed cases of coronavirus.  Governor Kristi Noem held a press conference yesterday and said the cases are spread across the state.

The cases are in Beadle, Charles Mix, Minnehaha, Pennington, and Davison Counties.  The Pennington County man who contracted the virus passed away.  He was in his 60’s and had underlying health issues.  The other cases are a mix of males and females in their 30’s through 50’s.  Governor Noem says the state is ready to deal with the virus.

The five all recently traveled on planes, and their cases do not appear to be related.
