Three people who allegedly went on a vehicle vandalism and burglary spree in Mitchell in September pleaded not guilty yesterday.

19-year old Jasmine Medicine Elk, 31-year old Lee Reed, and 18-year old Mahl’I Shell, all of Mitchell, face several felony charges after being accused of breaking windows and windshields in five vehicles, slashed tires, and stole items including a handgun, a computer, and phone chargers. Several of the items were found by investigators at a residence on West 1st Avenue. The three are charged with intentionally causing between $5,000 and $100,000 in property damage, grand theft of a firearm, five counts of aggravated criminal entry to a motor vehicle, and second-degree petty theft. Shell also faces an additional petty theft charge for stealing a tool belt from the front yard of a residence in October.

Their bonds were reduced to $1,000 cash each. Jury trials were scheduled for April.
