College students at state schools will not return to campus for the rest of the fall semester after Thanksgiving.  That announcement was made today by the South Dakota Board of Regents.  The Thanksgiving break is scheduled for November 25th through the 29th.  After the holiday, students have two non-class days as they prepare for final exams from December 2nd through the 8th. Students will do their final exams remotely.  University campuses will be closed between Christmas and New Year’s Day.  Regents President John Bastian says the goal is to maintain the academic calendar while being mindful of public health.  On-campus studies for the fall semester begin on August 19th.
