SD Reports 33 New COVID-19 Cases Monday

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) — South Dakota has reported 33 new COVID-19 cases on Monday and no new deaths from the virus. The total number of COVID-19 cases in the state stands at 5,471, including more than 3,400 in Minnehaha County, which includes Sioux Falls. There are currently 92 people who are hospitalized. Over the past two weeks, the rolling average number of daily new cases has decreased by 18.7, a decrease of nearly 23%. The state Health Department says no new deaths were confirmed, leaving the statewide total at 65. State epidemiologist Josh Clayton reported a new cluster of 52 infections at the Dakota Provisions poultry plant in Huron. Davison County now has had 30 total cases.
