Mitchell Show Choir Finishes Second In Weekend Competition

Mitchell Friend De Coup Show Choir finished first runner up in the Power City Classic competition in Keokuk, Iowa over the weekend.

FDC competed with ten other schools from Iowa, Nebraska and Missouri in the 4A/5A division. During the Power City Classic daytime awards FDC received awards for best costumes, best show design, people’s choice and the second place trophy.

Six choirs qualified for the evening competition. FDC was named first runner up during the final competition and received the award for the best choreography.

Choralation, the varsity choir from Valley High School in West Des Moines, Iowa, took home the grand champion award. FDC competes on February 22 at the Davenport Great River Show Choir Invitational in Davenport, Iowa.
