Mitchell School District Making Food Service Changes

The Mitchell School District has made some changes to the food service it has been offering students. A narrower selection will be offered, and in some cases, there will be no selection at all. The service times, 8-10:30 AM for breakfast and 11 AM-1 PM for lunch, remain unchanged.

Starting Wednesday, the district will utilize a school bus and driver for delivery of meals in areas in town where they believe numbers of children are in need and not accessing the meals system. Schedules and delivery points for this are tentative and will be announced at a future time.

Also, on Fridays, the district will be offering 3 meals for children to take with them so that weekend nutrition is better covered.
