A Mitchell man involved in a bar fight last year that killed a man was sentenced today to seven years in prison.  27-year old Dylan Thompson pleaded no contest to second-degree manslaughter in October after the altercation at Thirsty’s Bar last January.  The fight began inside the bar and moved outside, where 59-year old Rick Sanders was knocked to the ground several times, hitting his head on the pavement.  He died several days later in hospice in Sioux Falls.  Thompson was also ordered to pay restitution for the hospice care and funeral for Sanders, as well as for prosecution costs.  He will undergo an alcohol evaluation and complete anger management counseling.
