Mitchell Fire Destroys Garage And Car

A fire in Mitchell last night destroyed a garage and a car, with another car receiving body damage.  Just before 7:30 PM, firefighters were called to 921 East 7th Avenue for a report of a large structure fire near the alleyway.  By the time firefighters arrived, the fire had spread to a small rental house to the east of the garage.  The home owners were evacuated.  No one was injured.  The cause of the fire was determined to be a failed outlet in the garage.
