City Of Mitchell Declares Snow Emergency

The City of Mitchell is declaring a snow emergency effective at 11:00 p.m Saturday, December 28th in anticipation of the forecasted snowfall amounts. The City may have to plow emergency snow routes throughout the early morning hours and are asking residents to please have all vehicles removed from snow emergency routes. All vehicles shall be removed from Snow Emergency Routes or they will be subject to ticket and towing. NO PARKING will be allowed on Snow Emergency Routes until after the storm is over and the streets have been plowed curb to curb. This is expected to be a slow moving storm and snowfall is expected till Monday, December 30th. Secondary streets will be plowed following the completion of the snowfall.
