Plankinton received $73,000 for improvements to Poolside Park.

Emery received just over $29,000, Menno received $20,000, and Wessington Springs received $189,000 for pool improvement projects.

The Land and Water Conservation funds come from the National Park Service and are administered by the South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks Department. The federal assistance program provides up to 50 percent reimbursement for outdoor recreation projects.
