71 New Cases Of Coronavirus In SD

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) — New cases of the coronavirus in South Dakota grew by 71 and the number of people hospitalized dropped by six,. The total number of COVID-19 cases in the state stands at 5,438, including more than 3,400 in Minnehaha County, which includes Sioux Falls. There were 87 people hospitalized Sunday. No new deaths were confirmed, leaving the statewide total at 65. Active cases rose by 11 from Saturday, to 1,038. For most people, the coronavirus causes mild or moderate symptoms, such as fever and cough that clear up in two to three weeks.
