Oldest College Football Player is in North Dakota

Ray Ruschel, 49 years old, is the oldest football player in America. Ray attends NDSU/Wahpeton and is a former Army veteran. He studies Business Management and earned a spot on the team. That is pretty awesome!

The Mitchell School District says longtime coach Deb Thill will retire at the end of the 2025-26 school year after 35 years leading Kernels athletics. Thill was the first volleyball coach at Mitchell High School and has been the program’s only head coach, the district said.
