NFL: “Butt Punt” May Lead to Endorsement from Charmin

A weird play during the Miami Dolphins and Buffalo Bills game Sunday is being called the “butt punt” and it may lead to an endorsement from Charmin.

Miami’s Thomas Morstead punted from his end zone, only to see the ball hit teammate Trent Sherfield squarely in the butt, then came up and out of the back of the end zone for a safety.

The mistake, which resulted in two points for Buffalo, did not cost Miami the game. They won 21-19.

Toilet paper maker Charmin chimed in on Twitter, suggesting that the play might result in an endorsement deal for Sherfield, or at least some free toilet paper.

Charmin tweeted, ”Those cheeks are going to need something soft. Check your DM’s.”
