Nate Davis Signs with Dakota Wesleyan Basketball

The guard position for Coach Matt Wilber at Dakota Wesleyan University should be solid for the next several years with the announcement of the signing of Watertown point guard Nate Davis.  Davis joins South Dakota’s Mister Basketball Ty Hoglund of Dell Rapids as backcourt freshman recruits for the Tigers.

Davis, who was a first team Class ‘AA’ All State selection and was named to the Argus Leader ‘first five’ averaged 16-points per game for Watertown in his senior season.  He also averaged 4-rebounds and 5-assists per game.  Davis has the quickness to take the ball to the basket and is also an excellent three point shooter.   The Tigers return Senior Tate Martin and Junior Trae VandeBerg at guards next season, but both Hoglund, a first team Class ‘A’ All-Stater who averaged 26-points per game,  and Davis will add depth immediately.
